Here's my story
I really had no idea where I'd end up, but I knew it had to be this way.
I'm the owner of Seattle-based Interior Design firm KP Spaces, & creator Design and Thrive, a coaching program for interior designers that offers a foolproof framework for creating a successful design business primed for profitability!
…and I LOVE design! I get chills every time I walk into a new space and envision what it could be. I am passionate about what I do because I know how much people’s lives can be improved by beautiful, functional spaces. When your home just feels right, it shifts from being a simple dwelling to restorative sanctuary. Nothing brings me more joy than watching you fall in love with your space all over again.
When I’m not doing my design thing, I’m hanging out with my cute husband, Justin, our two kiddos, Maggie and Jude, and our crazy puppy Biscuit, and our new kitten Petunia!
In the beginning I was juggling a kid and a new business.
When I had my first child, I knew I wanted something different from life. I wanted the freedom to take care of my children... and I wanted to do something that brought me joy. I spent a lot of time dreaming of ways I could use my passions to support my new family. It was a pretty scary time. Leaving the security of a 9-5 to pursue my dreams while having a new baby... sometimes I wonder how young Keri found the courage to take the leap into entrepreneurship!
Like you, I didn't start off as a designer. I've always had a passion for design, but it wasn't something I jumped straight into school to pursue. I just felt like something was missing in my life - that I could do so much more. I wasn't happy where I was, but my new baby gave me the push I needed to go out and make the life I always dreamt of!
From this dream over 15 years ago, my Interior Design Firm KP Spaces was born. :)
